As the Association for Library Service to Children’s (ALSC) National Institute approaches, we have so much to celebrate within the Colorado Public Library community. From September 19th – 21st, a remarkable group of Colorado Public Library professionals will be sharing their expertise and innovative ideas on a national stage, demonstrating the talent and dedication of our state’s library professionals. The ALSC National Institute is a biennial conference for those serving children and families in libraries; children’s literature experts; education and library school faculty; and other interested professionals.
If you are attending the institute and want a conference buddy, a hi-five drive by, or just some company to browse the exhibit hall, reach out to Kate B (brunner_k@cde.state.co.us) or myself (Compton_k@cde.state.co.us)! Colorado Libraries for Early Literacy (CLEL) will be hosting a table in the exhibitors hall, so stop by, grab some goodies, see all their great resources and learn how you can get involved!
Also for all those Reforma members, Reforma Colorado is co-hosting a networking event on September 20th from 6:30- 8 pm at Cerveceria Colorado 1635 Platte St, Denver. 20% of the evening’s proceeds will benefit Children in Crisis.
Join the State Library in cheering your fellow public library folks on and wishing them success. Check out more about their presentations at ALSC Institute Educational Programs.
