Hands-On Fun

Join Estes Valley Library for a hands-on Intro to Needle Felting on March 5 at 10:00 am. You’ll personalize a wool dryer ball with custom embellishments to make a unique creation.

High Plains Library District’s Spice of the Month for March is ginger. Stop by LINC for a take-and-make kit that includes a spice sample, some recipe cards, a brief history and cultural significance of ginger, and related book recommendations.

Ouray Library District is holding a Film Production Workshop on March 3 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Contact the Library for more details.

Nature and Science

Englewood Public Library continues their Embryology program with Chick Egg Candleing on March 6 at 4:00 pm. Children are invited to come see the baby chicks developing in their eggs.

Pikes Peak Library District welcomes Rick Sturdevant for UFOs of Rocky Mountain West, March 5 at Old Colorado City Library. His presentation will outline some of the UFO sightings in the region and weigh them against official U.S. government studies.

Lyons Community Library will host volunteer naturalists for Story in the Rocks: The Geologic History of Boulder County on March 6 at 6:30 pm. Through the slide program, learn the history of this remarkable landscape that goes back over 2 billion years.

Garfield County Libraries and the Glenwood Springs Historical Society invite you to experience a special talk about the Ute Trail with Bill Kight on March 13 at Glenwood Springs Branch Library. Kight will speak about his experience working with the three Ute Tribes to identify the ancient Ute Trail across the Flattops north of Glenwood Springs.

Mancos Public Library invites you to a Nonprofit Lunch & Learn on March 6 at 12:00 pm. This program will focus on using the Colorado Grants Guide to discover grant funding.

Nederland Community Library will host Boulder Ballet Co. for The Journey of Country Mouse, a special story time performance on March 7 at 10:10 am.
