Spring Skills

Englewood Public Library invites tweens to harness the wind at their Kite Making program on April 3. After making and decorating a kite, tweens will take them out for a spin.

At Estes Valley Library, you can make a Spring Gnome Magnet to bring a whimsical, seasonal touch to your fridge. Join this maker event on April 3 at 4:30 pm.

Pueblo City-County Library District will host Pollination Investigation, a poster exhibit from the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service and Smithsonian Gardens, from April 1 – 19 at Rawlings Branch. Come explore different pollinators and the role they play in the natural world.

Get ready for a super-powered showdown! High Plains Library District is hosting Random Fandom: Marvel & DC on April 1 at LINC. Teens will assemble to test their superhero trivia skills and create cosplay accessories.

Lone Cone Library is hosting a Community D&D Potluck on April 1 at 6:00 pm. All ages are welcome to don their adventuring costumes and enjoy an evening of fantasy-themed foods, miniature painting, and board games.

Pikes Peak Library District welcomes Celtic acoustic band Skean Dubh for a live performance on March 29 at East Library. All ages will enjoy the unforgettable vocals, beautiful bagpipes, sophisticated fiddle, and engaging rhythms.

Pick ‘n’ Mix

Lyons Community Library will host Professor Emerita Manette Ansay for College Application Strategies on April 1. Professor Ansay will address building compelling applications through academic enrichments, summer experiences, activities and more.

Local award-winning author Lisa C. Taylor will teach a free Fiction Writing Class at Cortez Public Library on April 3 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. 

Join Mesa County Libraries for their Recycled Book Art Show Reception on April 4 at Central Library. Award winners will be announced.
