Historic newspapers hold information about past people, places and events. This important community history is often not recorded in any other source. The Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection (CHNC), with its 4.8 million pages of historic Colorado news, is a great resource for your community. Undertaking a digitization project can often be daunting and expensive. The CHNC team at the Colorado State Library works to make this process as simple as possible.
In this pre-recorded video you will learn:
The benefits of free online access to historic newspapers
Who the CHNC partners are and how content is funded
The type of content and the digitization process
Who the CHNC team is and how we help with the process
Key CHNC features and tips for navigating the site
Other historic newspaper resources
