The Second Regular Session of the Seventy-first General Assembly began Wednesday with speeches, ceremonies, and the introduction of many bills. Among the bills introduced yesterday include hot topics such as:

- Youth experiencing homelessness
- Concealed handguns on school grounds
- Sales tax on retail marijuana
- Red light camera repeal
- Transportation infrastructure funding
- Rural broadband deployment
- Students excused from state assessments
- Criminal sentencing
- Nurse licensure
- Use of electronic mobile devices while driving
- State income tax rate
