Tomorrow, Friday, November 19, is Denver’s 6th annual Adoption Day. Not only does Adoption Day promote helping foster children find permanent families, but this year, 93 children will officially have found those families as the county court legalizes their adoptions tomorrow. Yet there are still about 300 foster children around Colorado, about a third of which are in Denver, waiting for a permanent home. If you are interested in adopting a foster child, see the Colorado Department of Human Services’ adoption website, or contact your local human services agency. For more on Denver Adoption Day, see the Colorado Supreme Court’s press release.
