Colorado recognizes the importance of teaching children to read with Colorado Literacy Week, May 6-10, 2013. For a complete schedule of events, visit the Lt. Governor’s website. Here you can also find links to several state reports on literacy in Colorado. One of the fun highlights of Colorado Literacy Week this year is the One Book 4 Colorado Program, sponsored by the Colorado State Library and the Lt. Governor’s Office. The program provides a free book to all Colorado 4-year-olds; this year’s title has been announced as Duck on a Bike.
