Yesterday the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) released a statement regarding the recent outbreak of enterovirus-D68, a rare respiratory virus that is mostly affecting children. Several children have been hospitalized in Colorado; children with asthma or other respiratory conditions should be extra careful to avoid this contagious virus.
