Are you a high school student looking for work this summer? Or, are you an employer looking to hire young people? If you answered yes to either of these questions, you may want to check out the Governor’s Summer Job Hunt program, sponsored by the Colorado Dept. of Labor and Employment and the Colorado Governor’s Office. The program is a free employment service that matches young adults ages 16-21 with summer jobs according to their skills and interests. The program has helped over 500,000 young people find seasonal employment since 1981. To participate, visit one of the Summer Job Hunt offices located at Workforce Centers around the state. Additionally, information is available to anyone on the program website, including brochures, tips on finding a job, marketing yourself, job applications, resume writing, job interviews, employee rights, and more.
