For decades libraries have been sponsoring summer reading programs to help keep kids’ reading skills current through the summer months, as well as interest children in reading for pleasure beyond just reading for school. This year’s theme is “Dig Into Reading.” The Colorado State Library has published several documents describing the positive impact of summer reading programs.
